How To Motivate Yourself To Blog & Where To Find Inspiration

Blogging is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Of course, you have to have a website too, but the blog the blog is gold.

Websites serve as placeholders for people to find you and contact you. Blogs serve as lead generators. And as a small, medium, or large sized business, leads are something you need.

Why Blogging Works

Jason Clegg, our CEO, wrote a fabulous article about why blogging is the new SEO.

A well-written and regularly updated blog will help get you to the top of the search engines naturally and organically. The main reason is that, by blogging, you're creating quality content that includes the keywords people are searching for.Take our blog for example: When we started writing it we were being found for the keywords in those few articles that were posted. As we increased the content to a daily level, each article provided more keywords that could help us be found in the vast web.

Beyond the search engine value of blogging, blogging also provides a great way to assert your authority in your industry. By blogging and creating value to your readers, they're more likely to come to you for your services.

So, do you need to blog? Yes. We understand that your time is valuable, and thus, we offer a blog management and writing service. For more information please visit this link: http://seoarticlewritingpros.com/

How To Start Blogging

1. Think About Your Industry

Before you start your blogging strategy, think about your industry, what you know about the industry, and what makes you and your business unique. I'm sure there are a lot of things that make you unique, and that should be your starting point. Write down everything that you could possibly talk about, all the things you know about that relate to your business and your industry.

2. Scour Sources For Ideas

News is a great thing to work off of. Search the headlines for articles that relate to your business. Work with that. Could you offer commentary on these topics? Do you have something to add? If you answered yes, that's probably a good topic to blog about, I often use LinkedIn to discover new topics I could write about. I currently have a running list of articles that I think would be unique to our readers and I tackle them on a daily basis.

3. Start Writing

Oftentimes people are discouraged by the idea of writing. I hear them say, "I can't write, I don't have time to write," or "I hate writing."That's all fine. But it's probably not true. This story you're telling yourself is what's holding you back from doing it. Erase it from your mind and just start typing. I like to pretend I'm talking to a friend while writing, and that seems to work very well for me. Remember, your blogs don't have to be super long or super intelligent. Some blog posts will work better than others. But you won't know until you try.

Do you blog? If so, I'd love to check out your posts. Please comment below and tell me what your blog is about.
